I’ve blocked in the bases and the sails on half of the French ironclads this evening but have now lost the will to live and have decided to call it a day. The bases are Vallejo Dark Sea Blue and the sails are Army Painter Skeleton Bone, both of which will get a highlight or two and a wash before I’ve finished. I’ll tackle the other half of the fleet tomorrow including blocking in the decks and the masts, although that will be even more fiddly. They’re a bit messy at the moment but it will all be cleaned up later on. Bof!
