Today I invite you to the review and painting effects of the fourth model from Warmonger Miniatures from the Swashbuckler Dwarves category  and the first set received from Grabblecast. At the beginning, it is a brilliant Merchant cargo set

I will start with a bearded gentleman named Trygve, which is made of white metal and refers to classic fantasy figures and the historical period of the 16th century avant-humorism in England (Swashbuckler). A swashbuckler is a heroic archetype in European adventure literature that is typified by the use of a sword, acrobatics and chivalric ideals. The archetype also became common as a film genre. I must admit that I really like this series, carved by ex-Citadel people, and it will not be my last dwarf in this style.
Perfectly fit into the army / bands of dwarves and people.

The second component of today’s entry is the merchant area made of resin by friends from Grabblecast. The products are made very nicely with beautifully marked wood details and iron elements.
The set consists of three barrels, three small chests, three larger chests and three trunks. It can be used in any game I know – from fantasy through historical games from the Middle Ages to modern times. A few ideas and a comparison of the scale with models from different battle systems below.

My version of the dwarf is stylized as one of the guards, hundreds of them in the Old World, in the service of barons, noblemen and all those who can afford to hire dwarves.
Many dwarven strongholds fell, and the people living in them, if they did not perish and did not get into the slavery of the Greens or Skavens, dispersed. Many representatives of the bearded people have found shelter in human places by engaging in professions such as blacksmiths and guards.
       This motif is known primarily from Tolkien’s Hobbit and the history of Thorin, Oak Shield, who, after leaving his native fortress after taking it over by Smaug, wanders around human cities, taking a role as a blacksmith. Fortunately, as a proud dwarf, he has never renounced his revenge and regained his identity…

Zacznę najpierw od brodatego jegomościa o imieniu Trygve, który wykonany jest z białego metalu i swoją stylistyką nawiązuję do klasycznych figurek fantasy oraz do historycznego okresu XVI wiecznego awanturytyzmu w Anglii (Swashbuckler). Słowo to przyjęło się w odniesieniu do utworu gdzie występuję tytułowy awanturnik. Nie ukrywam, że bardzo podoba mi się ta seria, rzeźbiona przez ludzi ex-Citadela i nie będzie to mój ostatni krasnolud w tej stylistyce.
Pasuję doskonale do armii/drużyn krasnoludów oraz ludzi.

Drugim składnikiem dzisiejszego wpisu jest element terenu kupieckiego, wykonanego z żywicy przez przyjaciół z Grabblecast. Produkty wykonane są bardzo ładnie z pięknie zaznaczonymi detalami drewna i żelaznymi elementami.
Zestaw składa się z 3 beczek, 3 małych skrzyń, 3 większych skrzyń oraz 3 kufrów. Można go wykorzystać w każdej grze, którą znam – od fantasy poprzez gry historyczne od średniowiecza po czasy nowożytne. Kilka pomysłów i porównanie skali z modelami z różnych systemów bitewnych poniżej.

Moja wersja krasnoluda stylizowana jest na jednego ze strażników, których setki w Starym Świecie, w służbie baronów, szlachciców i wszystkich tych, których stać na wynajęcie krasnoludów.
Wiele krasnoludzkich twierdz upadło, a lud w nich mieszkający, jeśli nie zginał i nie dostał w się w niewolę Zielonoskórych lub Skavenów, rozproszył się. Wiele przedstawicieli brodatego ludu znalazło schronienie w ludzkich siedzibach najmując się w zawodach takich jak kowale czy strażnicy.
       
       Motyw ten znany jest przede wszystkim z Tolkienowskiego Hobbita i historii Torina, Dębowej Tarczy, który po opuszczeniu swojej rodzimej twierdzy po przejęciu jej przez smoka Smauga, wędruję po ludzkich miastach najmując się w roli kowala. Na szczęście, jak na dumnego krasnoluda przystało, nigdy nie wyrzekł się zemsty i odzyskania swojej tożsamości…
