Monday Motivation – Spiked Resistance!

Monday Motivation – Spiked Resistance!

Its Monday so we here at TTCombat thought that the best way to start this week would be with Dropfleet Commander. The Resistance must be resourceful in their fight against the Scourge oppressors but Alexandra Tornabene went with a new tactic, Fear.

Alex has decided to kit out there Resistance Fleet with a new lick of paint and protruding spikes! Yep the Scourge will be facing a fearsome revamped armada. The traditional blue overtones are still present but is now taking a back seat to the blood red streaks covering the hull. I love that Alex’s fleet is covered in battle scars with no panel looking undamaged, this perfectly captures the Resistance perseverance.

We love to see gamers add their own personal touch to their Fleets and The Resistance Starter Fleet is a great place to start with its multiple ships and build options. The sheer amount of additional customisation that this Resistance Cruiser has received makes us excited. Why? because we have never seen a Cruiser which could cause spike piercing damage before. Seriously Alex’s fleet has been covered in these deadly protrusions which adds a great ‘scavenger’ theme. Also the Vent cannon has a great paint tones and the gloss finish is a nice touch.

Alex clearly has some experience playing Dropfleet Commander as they know how important the anit-air Resistance Corvettes can be. Sadly there is a lack of spiked edges present, but the paint job is fantastic. Finally Alex’s Seneca Detonators base coat is more in keeping with the regular Resistance styling but I do love that the blood red scores are still visible.

Thanks for sharing this with us Alex! If you have a project you want to start or add to your tabletop setup. Then make sure you head over to the TTCombat webstore for a wide range of miniatures and scenery. If you have anything of ours that you’d like to see featured as a Monday Motivation post.
