Yesterday I went to the local postbox to post THE NUGGET but was unable to do so as the box had been sealed.

My first thought was that this might be due to a shortage of postal workers in our area (a problem that seems to be affecting several areas in Southeast London) but I then picked up a story on the local news forum that some bright sparks/hooligans had been stuffing lighted fireworks into postboxes ‘for fun’ and that post had been lost due to the resulting fires.

I will therefore be posting THE NUGGET on Monday morning at the local post office.
