Salute 53 2026 – A verrry looong post!

On Saturday, some of Posties Rejects went on our annual pilgrimage to Salute at the Excel Centre in London. I have to admit, the Rejects are pretty lucky, it was only a 20 minute drive for us, unlike most of the thousands who went. I’m not sure on the actual numbers but this was the busiest Salute since Covid, the place was packed, most shows seem to hit a lull after lunchtime, but this wasn’t the case on Saturday.
So thanks to the South London Warlords for a fab show, it was well worth every penny. I’ve gotta apologise to Peter for Pants Gate, too!

As per normal we got in very early at around 8.15, thanks to our Press Pass!! We’d had several chats and picked up a few purchases, before the doors opened, i think a little early?
It was like the scene out of The Lion King, when the Wildebeest’s stampeded down the valley, trampling Mufasa!!!
There was plenty of games on show, both historical, Sci Fi and Fantasy. I think I caught most of them in this extremely long post, so stop now, go make yourself a cuppa and and sandwich, you’re gonna need it!!

Dallas is part of the Fawcett Avenue Conscripts
We had a chat for about 30 minutes, while we rested our weary bones.
And that my friends is that.
That was a very enjoyable day, so thanks again to the Warlords and we’ll see you again next year for more of the same please!!!
