The One Ring: The Witch-king of Angmar
…or Lord of the Nazgûl, the leader of the Nazgûl (Ringwraiths) and Sauron’s deadliest servant during the Second and Third Ages of Middle-earth.
„Do not pursue him! He will not return to these lands. Far off yet is his doom, and not by the hand of man shall he fall.“ – Glorfindel
Do you enjoy J.R.R. Tolkien’s work, my dears?
I’ve started reading The Lord of the Rings again, and each time I read it, I’m thoroughly enjoying a story 😊
Based on this enthusiasm, I started painting a model (it’s not available for sale or as a printable file) that I received from a friend a few years ago.
It’s a monumental miniature (circa 32 mm but is a big bad guy) of the Witch King of Angmar, the most powerful of the Ringwraiths. I tried to make the armor look ‚ominous black‘ with green dark magic flashes. It turned out as it did 😉
The figure is styled after the artwork of John Howe.
Lovely stuff!
Will be a true pleasure of my LOTR collection.
