Workplace report – July 2021

Ich muss mich sputen mit den Werkstattberichten! Heute seht Ihr meine Ergebnisse aus dem Juli. Es wurde weniger, was aber vor allem der Arbeitslast vor dem großen Sommerurlaub geschuldet war.

I have to hurry with the workshop reports! Today you can see my results from July. It got less, but this was mainly due to the workload before the big summer vacation.

Zuerst ging es in großen Schritten weiter in Richtung „Ranger of Shadow Deep“-Bösewichter. Ich stellte fünf Zombies von Mantic Games fertig. Wieder wurden Minis fertig, die seit langer Zeit bei mir schlummerten (naja fast, denn es handelte sich ja um Tauschware).

First it went in big steps towards the „Ranger of Shadow Deep“ villains. I completed five zombies from Mantic Games. Again, minis were finished that had slumbered with me for a long time (well almost, because they were barter goods).

Und für das erste Szenario benötigt man evtl. sogenannte „Überlebende“. D. h. Dorfbewohner, die den Schrecken erlebt haben und mit dem blanken Entsetzen davon gekommen waren. Hierbei baute ich zwei Bogenschützen aus der Conquest Games Box „Medieval Archers“ um. Auf dem Bild dazu gesellt hat sich ein irischer Wolfshund von Gripping Beast Miniatures aus deren Blister „Irish Dogs and Handler“. Für was der ist, werdet Ihr noch sehen.

And for the first scenario you may need so-called „survivors“. I. E. Villagers who saw the horror and got away with it. Here I converted two archers from the Conquest Games Box „Medieval Archers“. In the picture there is an Irish wolfhound from Gripping Beast Miniatures from their blister „Irish Dogs and Handler“. You will see an other time for what I need him.

Und schließlich das Finale im Juli: zwei Figuren aus der Fireforge Games Box „Templar Infantry“. Einmal ein Waffenknecht (links) und dann ein Ritter (rechts).  Was es mit Ihnen auf sich hat und welches Wappen hierbei verwendet wurde, kommt ebenfalls – wie beim Hund oben – in einem späteren Blogpost. Das Wappen auf dem Schild des Ritters habe ich übrigens mit einem Transfermedium angebracht. Ich habe mich gegen ein Decal entschieden und es nicht bereut. Es ist vielleicht etwas matter, doch es passt recht gut.

And finally in July: two miniatures from the Fireforge Games Box „Templar Infantry“. Once a servant in arms (left) and then a knight (right). What they are up to and which coat of arms was used here will also come – as with the dog above – in a later blog post. Incidentally, I attached the coat of arms on the knight’s shield with a transfer medium. I decided against a decal and haven’t regretted it. It may be a little duller, but it fits quite well.
