I’ve been really ill the last couple of days but before that, I finished off the Indonesian warships for my 1960’s Indonesian Confrontation ‚What If? project, including some dual purpose anti-shipping strike and/or maritime reconnaissance Il-28 Beagle aircraft. The bases didn’t turn out as nicely as I hoped and the paintwork is decidedly wargames standard but, on the whole, I’m not unhappy with the outcome. I’ve now decided that I’ll tackle the Royal Navy half next, rather than move straight on to the Cruel Seas project, so that I have both sides available for some play test games of Naval Command by the end of the month. I’ll scale down my plans to make this a manageable painting load but there will still be a good variety of types to make up a balanced task group for various mission scenarios.
