Hello!

Over the past 2023 year (and the previous one), I have been slowly painting samurai models from Bac Ninh Miniatures.

These were heroes known from films, TV series and Japanese comics.
A set of distinctive heroes – from romantic warriors to revenge-seeking assassins.

I decided to gather them together as the Koryu Buntai band into the Ronin system.

Koryu means roughly ‚traditional school‘ and represents the martial arts school of medieval Japan. There were hundreds of such schools specializing in different weapons and fighting techniques, and many have survived to this day..

Some Koryu would be relatively small affairs, with just a handful students studying under a single master in a secluded place, while others would be large institutions in major population centres..
